David Currie, President of Lambton Communications Limited based in Sarnia Ontario announced that Damar Security Systems has merged with Bolt Security Systems Inc. based in London Ontario. Mr. Ken Craig, founder of Bolt Security Systems Inc. will remain with the company with responsibilities for his customers and new business development in the London Area. All full time staff of Bolt Security Systems will be remaining and generally it will be business as usual until Feb. 28, 2011 when the two corporations will amalgamate. Following amalgamation all operations will be carried on under the Damar Security Systems name.
Bolt Security Systems was founded by Mr. Craig in 1988 and over the years since then the company has been very successful, especially in industrial and commercial security services. In a letter sent to the Bolt Security customers Mr. Craig indicated that as the business continued to expand there was more work than what could be handled by their limited manpower. There should be very little disruption to the Bolt Security Customers because Damar’s sister company, The Security Response Center has been providing their monitoring services since 1988. Bolt Security Systems is recognized as being one of the prominent electronic security service providers in Middlesex County.
Damar Security Systems was established in 1970 and is currently serving in excess of eight thousand accounts in southwestern Ontario from offices in Sarnia, Brantford and London. Damar Security is listed by the Underwriters' Laboratories of Canada for the provision of commercial and industrial intrusion alarm services, financial intrusion alarm services, and fire alarm and fire suppression sprinkler system monitoring. Damar Security operates their own Signal Receiving Centre in Sarnia Ontario with a second monitoring centre in Brantford.
The Security Response Center division of Lambton Communications Limited monitors approximately forty-one thousand accounts in their Signal Receiving Centers in Sarnia and Brantford.
